Synthesis and characterization of tridentate ligands

Abstract: A novel 4-(3-nitrophenyl)-2,6-bis(1,3-thiazol-2-yl) pyridine and 4-(3-nitrophenyl)-2,6-bis(1,3-thiazol-2-yl) pyridine ligands were synthesized in good yield by facile one-pot synthesis from 2-acetylthiazole and characterized by 1HNMR, 13CNMR.
