Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture: Future of Farming
Author(s): Basu Hali and Kasinam Doruk
Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming agriculture by optimizing processes, increasing efficiency, and addressing critical challenges. AI-powered solutions enhance crop management, pest control, irrigation, and yield prediction. Machine learning models analyze vast datasets from sensors, drones, and satellites to provide real-time insights into soil health, weather patterns, and crop conditions. Computer vision and robotics enable automated planting, harvesting, and sorting, reducing labor costs and improving precision. AI also aids in sustainable practices by optimizing resource use, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental impact. Despite its potential, challenges like high costs, data availability, and farmer training persist. With continued advancements, AI holds the promise of revolutionizing agriculture for greater productivity and sustainability.
