Abstract: 2-Acetyl-5-bromo thiophene sulfanilamide (2-Ac-5-BrThSA) azomethine was synthesized from the condensation of 2-acetyl-5 -bromo thiophene and sulfanilamide (1:1 molar ratio). The characterization was carried out by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. The electrochemical properties of the prepared azomethine were examined by glassy carbon electrode in acetone solvent using BR-buffers of three pH levels. The recorded cyclic voltammograms in all pH levels are irreversible and diffusion-controlled. Therefore, voltammetric readings are utilized for the calculation of kinetic parameters.
