Abstract: The investigation on population dynamics of sesame leaf webber and capsule borer, Antigastra catalaunalis (Duponchel) in relation to weather parameters was under taken at college of Agriculture V. C. Farm, Mandya during 2022-23. During summer 2022, the population of leaf webber and capsule borer varied from 0.00 to 3.80/ plant. The incidence started from fourth week of January (0.50/ plant) and there was a gradual increase from February first week to March second week (3.80/ plant). Likewise, during kharif 2022, the incidence started from second week of August (0.30/ plant) and there was a gradual increase from Second fortnight of August to fourth week of September with a maximum population of 4.10/ plant. However, population started gradually decreasing from second week of October (2.00/ plant) and there was no incidence from first week of November onwards. When the data was subjected to multi linear regression analysis (MLR), the results revealed that 32 percent (R2 = 0.32) of leaf webber population was found influenced by afternoon sunshine hours negatively during summer and in kharif 2022, 79 percent (R2 = 0.79) of leaf webber and capsule borer population was influenced by sunshine hours negatively and afternoon relative humidity positively.
