Abstract: From July to November 2023 and in April 2024, surface waters were collected at three separate sites within the Vridi channel to understand tides impact on the CO2 fugacity. Salinity, temperature and tide were observed while fugacity of CO2 was computed using others carbonate system parameters. During Hot Season (HS), High salinity and temperature were noticed. Weak salinity appeared in Flood Season (FS) while the lowest temperature was provided in Rainy Season (RS). In Hot Season (HS), the precipitation was low and irregular with high temperature. Also, the temperature in the Vridi channel was influenced by the marine phenomena as coastal upwelling, which causes temperatures to drop in Long Cold Season (LCS). Highest tide was recorded in FS because the strength of the precipitation. High tides generally occurred in the early hours of the morning except in LCS. When weak upwelling coincided with neap tides in HS, relatively high temperatures were appeared.
