Photodegradation of reactive black 5 Azo dye (RB5) By Nb2O5 photocatalyst synthesized by modified sol-gel method

Abstract: Niobium pentaoxide (Nb2O5) was synthesized from niobium ethaoxide by using modified sol-gel method. The physical and photophysical properties of the as-obtained samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), BET analysis and UV-Vis diffusion reflectance spectroscopy (UV-Vis). The degradation efficiency for reactive black 5 (RB5) dye over synthesized photocatalyst nanoparticles was systematically investigated.
