Possible role of Immunonutrients in combating Covid-19 outbreak

Abstract: With the emergence of Covid-19 in the late December 2019, the world has seen tremendous fatalities. Numbers of patients affected with corona viruses are increasing with every passing day. A number of vaccine are under development by several government and private agencies, however no such vaccines have been developed completely till date. The only possible solution at present time is to have a stronger immunity which could be attained with proper nutrition. Several nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin D, Vitamin A, zinc, Selenium and other macronutrients are known to have potential impact on modulating immune responses. Therefore an attempt was made to review the possible role of immune-nutrients in combating with respiratory symptoms associated with covid-19.
