Relationship among the yield contributing characters and with seed yield in pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan (L.) millsp.)

Abstract: Twenty CGMS-based pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.] hybrids were evaluated along with parents and standard check (Maruthi) to study the nature and magnitude of relationship of important agronomic traits with seed yield. The association studies indicated significant positive correlation of seed yield with all characters in parents and crosses except 100-seed weight (g), seed protein (%).
