Abstract: An investigation was carried out during 2017-2019 at the Department of Floriculture & Landscaping, TNAU, Coimbatore to study the effect of different pruning months on growth and flowering of Jasminum sambac. Two levels of pruning height (45 cm and 60 cm) and pruning months (July-February) every month was done except in peak season (March-June) of flowering. Among the two levels of pruning, 60 cm from the ground level showed the best result when compared to 45 cm. Pruning during last week of August reached the highest plant height (76.33 cm), number of shoots (106.66) and maximum yield (160.32 g/plant) in Jasminum sambac whereas, lowest yield (48.40 g/plant) was observed in November pruning. The interaction between pruning levels and pruning months showed significant results.
