Abstract: The effect of bio-inoculants on growth performance of strawberry cv. Sujatha was studied under nursery conditions during 2007 to 2008 at the Division of Horticulture, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore. The bio-inoculants treatments in strawberry were Mycoplex 3kg, 6kg and 12kg /cft. Of basal media, Trichoderma 2g/cft of basal media, Humic acid 2g/kg of basal media and control treatment. The treatments significantly increased the characters under study compared to control. Growth parameters such as (Days taken for runners establishment, runners per cent establishment, mortality rate, number of leaves per plant, plant height, stem girth, leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight, maximum root length and number of roots per plant), leaf chlorophyll and plant nutrient content were evaluated. Mycoplex @ 6kg/cft. Of basal media and Trichoderma 2g/cft. of basal media can be used for routine inoculation in strawberry nurseries to produce healthy, vigorous growing of seedlings and better field establishment.
