Abstract: Aphid, Myzus persicae is a widely recognised economically important aphid species and invites attention of several workers of diverse fields. Biology of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) was studied under laboratory conditions on cumin observed that there were four nymphal instars. The first, second, third and fourth nymphal instar duration of aphid were 1.15 ± 0.23, 1.22 ± 0.45, 1.00 ± 0.33 and 1.61 ± 0.21 days, respectively and total nymphal duration was 5.02 ± 0.81 days. The Pre reproductive, reproductive and post-reproductive periods of aphid varied 0.88 ± 0.45, 4.31 ± 1.48 and 1.31 ± 0.47 days, respectively. The total life span of adult aphid was 11.46 ± 2.10. The reproductive potential of adult female was 4.87 ± 1.80 nymphs per day and 29.5 ± 8.00 nymphs per female in her life.
