Abstract: The present investigation is on the effect of chemicals on physio- chemical characteristics and shelf life of stored Acid Lime (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) at cold conditions by pre harvest spraying of fruits with Gibberellic acid, Napthalene acetic acid, Calcium chloride, Boron and these combinations along with control. Fruits were kept in plastic crates under cold storage (10±2ºC and 85-90% RH) and evaluated at different time intervals for various quality attributes.Among the various treatments, Acidlime sprayed with T2- Gibberellic acid (50 ppm) showed significant improvement in lower reduction of physiological loss in weight, highest fruit firmness, minimum total soluble solids, highest titrable acidity and shelf life of about 46.5 days.
