Abstract: The present investigation entitled “Foliar application of plant growth regulators on yield and quality of guava (Psidium guajava.L) var lucknow 49 under high density planting system†was carried out at Central block, Department of Fruit crops, Horticultural college and research institute, Periyakulam, Theni during the year 2018-2019. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design having seven treatments with three replications. The maximum fruit length (9.80 cm.), fruit girth (10.30cm.), fruit weight (347.43 g), fruit yield (10.56 kg/plant), TSS (10.50 0 Brix), Reducing sugars (4.73%), Non reducing sugars (2.78%) and Total sugars (7.5%) Ascorbic acid content (253 mg/100g) were recorded with foliar application of NAA 150 ppm. However, Titrable acidity (0.20%) was minimum in NAA 150 ppm, TSS/Acidity was maximum 41.46 in 2, 4 –D 4 ppm. The foliar application of NAA 150 ppm had recorded higher yield and quality than the control.
