Abstract: A field experiment was conducted during (June –September) of 2018 to study the (Effect of NPK and Zn fertilizers on physico-chemical properties of soil, growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.) Var. Shivani-KSHM-1980) on Crop Research Farm Department of Soil Science and Agriculture Chemistry, Naini Agricutlure Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Science Prayagraj (Allahabad). The design of the experiment was Factorial Randomized Block Design, having two factors with three levels of NPK 0%, 50%, and 100% ha and three levels of Zn 0%, 50% and 100% ha respectively. The treatment consisted of different levels of T0=@ 0 % NPK + 0%Zn, T1=@ 0 % NPK @ +50%Zn, T2=@ 0% NPK @ +100%Zn, T3=@ 50% NPK +0%Zn, T4=@ 50 % NPK+50%Zn, T5=@ 50 % NPK +100%Zn, T6=@ 100 % NPK +0%Zn, T7=@ 100 % NPK +50%Zn and T8=@100%NPK+100%Zn. The best treatment was T8= @100%NPK+100%Zn that showed the highest growth and yields regarding, gave the best results with respect to plant height (169.88cm), Number of leaves plant -1 (15.60), leaf length (57.15cm), dry weight of plant (173.60g), length of cob (16.92cm), number of grains per cob (308.45), test weight (215.64g) and grain yield (37.78 q/ha-1) and the minimum plant height (105.58cm), number of leaves plant -1 (7.62), leaf length (43.32cm), dry weight of plant (133.22g), length of cob (10.10cm), number of grains per cob (204.64), test weight (188.20g) and grain yield (17.55 q/ha-1) was recorded in T0=@ 0 % NPK + 0%zn.
