Abstract: This research shows an evaluation of physico-chemical properties of soil of nearby coastal area Paddy Soils of Prakasham district, Andhra Pradesh was carried out in 2018-19. Five sites were selected for analysis. Soil samples were collected at depths of 0-20 and 20-40 cm. The colour of soil changed between the two depths of 0-20 and 20-40 cm at all the locations. The study revealed that range of particle density was from 1.57 to 2.51 g cm-3, bulk density from 1.11 to 1.27 g cm-3, %pore space from 47-59.82, water holding capacity 51.42-67.52%. The pH ranges from 7.2 to 7.8. The highest mean value recorded is 7.71 and the least mean value is 7.33. The EC ranges from 0.21- 0.29 dSm-1. The Organic Carbon ranges from 2.6 to 4 g/kg. The Nitrogen ranges from 145-239 kg ha-1. The Phosphorus ranges from 11.3-19.4 kg ha-1. The Potassium ranges from 68-79.5 kg ha-1. Concentration of iron was high in soils 7.8-18kg/ha. Concluded that soil Physico-Chemical parameters were studied during the course of investigation presented good physical properties and pH is lime concentration saline in nature, EC soil contains soluble salts, Organic carbon lower values. Phosphorus, Nitrogen and Potassium contains was lower value.
