Abstract: A field experiment was conducted during Kharif 2011 at ZARS, V.C. Farm, Mandya, Karnataka, to study the levels of nitrogen and micronutrient enriched compost on yield and cost economics of aerobic rice (Oryza sativa L.). The experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) replicated thrice with 17 treatments involving levels of nitrogen and micronutrient enriched compost. A significant difference in grain and straw yield increased with nitrogen level in combination with micronutrient enriched compost. The treatments which, comprised of 100 per cent N with micronutrients enriched compost (T17: 4442 kg ha-1, 4906 kg ha-1 and T16: 4285 kg ha-1, 4604 kg ha-1) was on par with 75 per cent N with micronutrients enriched compost (T15: 4149 kg ha-1, 4563 kg ha-1, T14: 3910kg ha-1, 4463 kg ha-1) as compared to control (T1: 3500 kg ha-1, 4200 kg ha-1) and also similar trend followed in same treatment in cost benefit ratio (T17: 1:2.09, T16: 1:2.09, T15: 1.97, T14: 1.92 and T1: 1:1.75).
