Abstract: The field experiments were carried out in finger millet to evaluate the efficacy against weeds on finger millet crop was investigated during 2015 at IGKV, Rajmohini Devi College of Agricultural and Research Station, Ambikapur (C.G). The experimental design was a RBD with three replicates. Panicum maxima, Cynodon dactylon, Celosia argentea, Alternanthera sessilis and Alternanthera triandra. Density and dry matter of weeds significantly reduced under hoeing twice by wheel hoe between row and intra row manual weeding followed by hand weeding twice and isoproturon @ 0.5 +2, 4-D Na salt @ 0.5 kg ha-1. The highest grain yield (32.58 q ha-1), number of finger plant-1 (3.87), length of finger (6.93 cm), finger weight (9.46 g plant-1) and number of seeds finger-1 (2425.50) was recorded under hoeing twice by wheel hoe between rows and intra row manual weeding.
