Abstract: The present investigation was carried out to find out the suitable concentration of Gibberellic Acid (GA3) for quality flower production of Lilium grown under open field. The Asiatic Lilies variety Menorca was subjected to five treatments and four replications viz., distilled water as control ( T1), 50 ppm GA3 (T2), 100 ppm GA3 (T3), 150 ppm GA3 (T4), 200 ppm GA3 (T5). The treatments were applied as foliar spray after 30 days and 45 days after planting of bulbs. Among the different concentrations, application of GA3 100 ppm was found significantly better over control for plant height (23%), stem length (28%), stem diameter (21%), whereas, the number of leaves (30%), vase life (36%) and water uptake (29%) were recorded significant at 200 ppm GA3.
