Abstract: The study was conducted during hasta bahar season of 2015- 2016 on four year old pomegranate orchard cultivating Bhagwa variety to find out the effect of fertigation of major nutrients on the growth and yield of pomegranate. The experiment comprised of six treatments with four replication that included application of 100 per cent recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) through soil application (T1) and fertigation (T6), supplementing 50 per cent (T2 and T3) and 75 per cent (T4 and T5) RDF through fertigation following two different nutrient application schedule. The highest plant height and canopy was recorded 75 per cent ferigation with schedule-2 (T5) and 100 per cent fertigation (T6) treatments during the later stages of crop growth compared to the 100 per cent soil application (T1). The total and hermaphrodite flower number was highest in T5 (128.0 and 222.0 respectively) as compared to the 100 per cent soil application (84 and 162 respectively). Similarly, the number of fruits was also highest in T5 (67.25). The highest average fruit weight (288.50 g) and size was observed in 100 per cent fertigation (T6). The highest fruit yield of 18.49 kg plant-1 and 9.12 t ha-1 was observed in T5 (25% SA + 75% F) that was on par with T6 (100% F) recording 16.89 kg plant-1 and 8.31 t ha-1. Lowest yield was observed in T1 (100% SA) recording 11.36 kg plant-1 and 5.60 t ha-1.
