Abstract: Field trials were carried out during Kharif 2014-15 to evaluate resistance for stem borer in 25 genotypes of Sorghum. Based upon hierarchical clustering considering parameters of stem borerper cent plant infestation, dead heart caused by stem borer, stem tunneling, peduncle tunneling, number of larvae/plant and number of tunnel per plant eleven genotypes viz; Gird-36, CMSxS-654, Gird-36, CMSxS-633, CMSxS-654, CMSxS-633, DSSV-37 x NSSV-14, NSSV-04 x DSSV-196, CSH-2255 DSSV-37 x NSSV-14, NSSV-04 x DSSV-196 and CSH-2255 were found less susceptible to stem borer and genotype IS-25298 was found highly susceptible to stem borer.
