Pre-harvest forecast model for rice yield based on biometrical characters: An application of discriminant function analysis

Abstract: In the present paper, an application of discriminant function analysis has been demonstrated to develop pre-harvest forecast models based on biometrical characters for rice yield using experimental data. The results have shown that the reliable forecast of rice yield can be obtained using these models with percent standard errors of forecast yields below 5 percent.
