Effect of NAA, zinc sulphate and urea on growth and yield of litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) cv. Purbi

Abstract: The experiment was carried out at Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour on mature trees of Litchi cv. Purbi. Out of 19 treatments in factorial RBD, Z1U2N1 (0.5% ZnSO4 + 2% Urea +20 ppm NAA) resulted in maxm Fruit set (68.15%), Fruit retention (8.5%), Length (4.26 cm), Diameter (3.25 cm), Wt. (20.20 g) Aril (73.4%), yield (6400 no. And 129.28 kg /plant) and less cracking (3%). In main effect, ZnSO4 (0.5%),Urea (2%) and NAA(20 ppm) were very effective in increasing fruit set, fruit retention, size, weight, aril, yield and decreasing cracking with respect to other concentrations.
