Fungicidal studies on foliar fungi associated with die back disease of mango grafts in nursery

Author(s): Sangeetha Chinnusamy and Beena Saralemma

Abstract: Two experiments were conducted to manage the die back disease of mango graft in nursery against two predominant fungal pathogens like Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Botryodiplodia theobromae. In the first experiment, all eight fungicides were tested under in vitro and in planta conditions with recommended dose. Among the eight fungicides only four fungicides were selected for second experiment (cuso4 + lime, copper hydroxide, copper oxychloride and carbendazim) to control the die back disease effectively. The highest per cent reduction over control of incidence (71.44%) and severity (80.02%) recorded by Bordeaux mixture.
