Abstract: The effect of rock phosphate along with solubilizers was studied in the pot culture experiment on soybean. The highest soybean grain yield and total uptake of nutrients was observed in the rock phosphate + 60 kg S sulphur + phosphorus solubilizing bacteria + EM culture and rock phosphate + 30 kg S + PSB + EM culture, which were at par with each other, indicating that rock phosphate + 60 kg S + PSB + EM culture was the best treatment to achieve higher soybean yields.
The results of both the experiments prove the utility of rock phosphate as an alternative source of phosphorus nutrition for soybean, when used along with 60 kg ha-1 elemental sulphur + PSB + EM solution and recommended dose of nitrogen.
