Abstract: The present study was undertaken with the objective to study the seasonal variation in arsenic level of groundwater samples along Budhi Gandak belt of Muzaffarpur district in Bihar, India. Samples were collected on the monthly basis from 2011 to 2013 and the variation in the arsenic content was observed and monitored upto 36 months at eight different sites. The results of the present investigation reveal that there is a temporal fluctuation in the arsenic level in the ground water; the pattern, although not simplistic, shows a higher level in the winter season.
